Details on the Ender’s Game Trading Cards Released

Many fans have been waiting for the Ender’s Game film for years. Almost all have been probably fantasizing for Ender’s Game trading cards. Earlier this year we found out Cryptozoic will be creating trading cards for the Ender’s Game film but we still haven’t gotten a release date for them. However, new details are emerging from the people at Cryptozoic.

You can now budget how many packets you’ll be buying with this new information:

Packs: 5 Cards per pack, 24 packs per box

MSRP: $3.50 per pack

Base Set: 72 card base set featuring images from the film

Chase Sets: International Fleet and Formic chase sets (all 2:24 packs)

Inserts: Autograph cards (1:24 packs) and Wardrobe and Props cards (1:24 packs)

Autograph Signers (Signers in Bold have returned cards, Signers with an * are under contract)Harrison Ford who plays Colonel Hyrum Graff*, Asa Butterfield as Ender Wiggin*, Brandon Soo Hoo as Fly Molo*, Aramis Knight as Bean*, Khylin Rhambo as Dink Meeker*, Conor Carroll as Bernard*, Suraj Partha as Alai*, Nonso Anozie as Sergeant Dap*, Jimmy ‘Jax’ Pinchak as Peter Wiggin*, Andrea Powell as Theresa Wiggin*, Caleb J. Thaggard as Stilson*, and Han Soto as Colonel Graff’s aide*

To put emphasis on the inserts and chase sets, not all packs will have autographs or specific film and wardrobe images (which explains the ratios above). Again, no release date has been set but the web page states “2014” under release date so we can be seeing them soon.

Who will be collecting some Ender’s Game trading cards when they release? I’m really excited to see what images will be showing up on the cards.

New 3-Minute Video “Building Ender’s World”

Earlier today tickets for the Ender’s Game movie became available to purchase. And to top this awesome event today Summit released a short 3 minute video on the building of Ender’s World. Watch the video below:

Just recently we posted about a 9 minute video on the making of Ender’s Game and we weren’t sure if it was a part of the HBO first look that is set to release October 17th, but one thing we do know is that these two videos have similar footage. We don’t have confirmed that they are from the same project or if they are from the HBO first look but we will keep you updated. Until then enjoy the behind-the-scenes look and interviews.

Making of Ender’s Game: Behind-the-Scenes Video

Before you go on I must warn you the video is a super spoiler. If you want to keep the surprise effect while watching the movie I suggest you refrain from watching.

Thanks to Ender Wiggin and itsartmag, we have a link to a new video that’s popped up that shows the production of the Ender’s Game movie. You can see different scenes being played out, director Gavin Hood doing his job on set, Asa Butterfield doing a great job of playing Ender and tons more. If you dare to watch just follow the link below:

At first I thought the video has to do with HBO’s upcoming First Look into Ender’s Game, but it isn’t confirmed if it is.  Here are some screen shots I took so you can see how spoilery the video is.

Ender’s Game Alive Audioplay: Meet the Parents

Enders Game Alive

The Wiggin household has been the starting line up in the announcement of Skyboat’s Media cast introduction for the Ender’s Game Alive audio play (EGA). And what would a household be if it weren’t for the heads of the house? Please meet the voices behind John-Paul and Theresa Wiggin, Arthur Morey and Gabrielle de Cuir.

Enders Game Alive

Arthur Morey is an award-winning narrator with over 130 projects under his belt. Skyboat Media calls him the “perfect match” for John-Paul because he not only brought in the right amount of humor but because he and Paul Boehmer (Peter Wiggin) really sounded like father and son.

Theresa Wiggin not only was the mother of beloved Ender Wiggin, but director to EGA? Gabrielle de Cuir, who voices Theresa Wiggin, is none other than EGA’s director who couldn’t just listen to the production but had to get into the sound booth. Gabrielle is also an award-winning narrator and actress and is also the voice of Valentine Wiggin in the original Ender’s Game audiobooks (which Skyboat Media also produced). Having to focus on the EGA project she handed down the part of Valentine to Susan Hanfield, reluctantly (just kidding!). Check out a video of Gabrielle giving away the part of Valentine below (please note that she is just playing around in the video…that is, from what we have been told).

Also, you can watch a small clip of Gabreille de Cuir voicing Theresa Wiggin below.

There is still more introductions to be heard of so check back for future posts.

Ender’s Game Alive is released October 22nd. Pre-order your copy at Amazon.

Hailee Steinfeld Featured on the Cover of ASOS Magazine

hailee steinfeld ASOSJust recently Hailee Steinfeld, Petra Arkanian, was featured in ASOS magazine. Looking lovely and joyous as ever Hailee speaks with ASOS about her career launch and her many friends she’s met along the way. Friends that include The Hunger Games victor, Jennifer Lawrence, her co-star from The Keeping Room, Brit Marling and Romeo actor, Douglas Booth.

Then there’s Douglas Booth, the Romeo to her Juliet. ‘He is so, so great,’ she says. ‘I can’t think about him without laughing, I love him so much – he’s so funny. We were doing this film that was so heavy and intense, and at the end of the day we would just look at each other and laugh, like this is totally, completely crazy and amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to experience that with.’

hailee steinfeld ASOSSnapped along with her adorable dog, Hailee spills how she first came to love fashion, something we’ve seen on many occasions, and how it became a big part of her life.

‘Fashion is something I’ve always been interested in,’ she says. ‘I used to watch the Oscars but paid no attention to the awards. I was seven, and had no idea what they meant, but I would watch to see what everybody was wearing on the red carpet. It wasn’t until I strated attending red carpet events and was fown out to Paris for y first show, and saw how much is put into it all, that I had this new appreciation for everthing. Now it’s become a huge part of my life.’

She’s only known for her role in True Grit but Hailee has a very steep path in front of her. With Ender’s Game coming out soon and Romeo and Juliet out now, we can’t forget her Oscar nomination and her campaign with Miu Miu, everyone has become enamored with her and she definitely isn’t going to see that change soon.

Thank you to ASOS magazine for the amazing pictures.
