Deadline has revealed the list of nominees for the 19th annual Critics Choice Movie Awards 2013 and nominated for Best Young Actor/Actress is Asa Butterfield for Ender’s Game. Also nominated for the same category are:
BEST YOUNG ACTOR/ACTRESS
Asa Butterfield – Ender’s Game
Adele Exarchopoulos – Blue Is the Warmest Color
Liam James – The Way Way Back
Sophie Nelisse – The Book Thief
Tye Sheridan – Mud
Though Ender’s Game isn’t nominated for any other category it’s still exciting to see Asa being noticed. Especially for Ender’s Game, which gained a lot of positive reviews from many critics.
You can catch the Critics Choice Movie Awards on January 16th on the CW.

Many fans have been waiting for the Ender’s Game film for years. Almost all have been probably fantasizing for Ender’s Game trading cards. Earlier this year we found out Cryptozoic will be creating trading cards for the Ender’s Game film but we still haven’t gotten a release date for them. However, new details are emerging from the people at Cryptozoic.
You can now budget how many packets you’ll be buying with this new information:
Packs: 5 Cards per pack, 24 packs per box
MSRP: $3.50 per pack
Base Set: 72 card base set featuring images from the film
Chase Sets: International Fleet and Formic chase sets (all 2:24 packs)
Inserts: Autograph cards (1:24 packs) and Wardrobe and Props cards (1:24 packs)
Autograph Signers (Signers in Bold have returned cards, Signers with an * are under contract): Harrison Ford who plays Colonel Hyrum Graff*, Asa Butterfield as Ender Wiggin*, Brandon Soo Hoo as Fly Molo*, Aramis Knight as Bean*, Khylin Rhambo as Dink Meeker*, Conor Carroll as Bernard*, Suraj Partha as Alai*, Nonso Anozie as Sergeant Dap*, Jimmy ‘Jax’ Pinchak as Peter Wiggin*, Andrea Powell as Theresa Wiggin*, Caleb J. Thaggard as Stilson*, and Han Soto as Colonel Graff’s aide*
To put emphasis on the inserts and chase sets, not all packs will have autographs or specific film and wardrobe images (which explains the ratios above). Again, no release date has been set but the web page states “2014” under release date so we can be seeing them soon.
Who will be collecting some Ender’s Game trading cards when they release? I’m really excited to see what images will be showing up on the cards.

Also, they most specially announce the newest addition. Harrison Ford will also be signing for the trading cards. If you don’t already know Harrison Ford plays Colonel Hyrum Graff in the Ender’s Game movie.
A release date hasn’t been announced (from what I know of) but we will keep you updated on any news released from Cryptozoic.
Who will be getting some trading cards? I might just get a set myself.
Fans of the Ender’s Game novel were surprised to see that the movie lacked a lot of scenes and characters. However, the movie got really great reviews and for undergoing much revision in the translation from book to novel it was relieving that it did not flop at the box office.
I think many fans would agree when I say that the movie is very rushed. I mentioned in my movie review that I felt there was no progression for the plot to play out because everything seemed to play out one scene after another without “breathing time”. There has been talks around the nets that the movie has a longer version and even Harrison Ford mentioned he had seen several other versions of the movie that ran longer than 150 minutes.
Extend Ender’s Game is a petition to call for a longer version of the Ender’s Game film. If you want to support the call to action visit the webpage and sign the petition.
There is nothing to lose and maybe we launchies can make something happen.
